The Subcommittee proposed adding this new Genre Term. The warrant supports the use of “woman” instead of “women.” One attendee noted that historically Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony used “woman suffrage.” Final version approved, with amendment to the SN

N.B. Discussion during Annual 2008 is unrecorded for this record.

Current status [as of May 19, 2008]

This term was tabled at Midwinter 2008 due to questions on the form of the term: anti-womens' suffrage, antiwoman suffrage, anti womens suffrage, etc. Need to check prescribed sources as found on the workform and additional dictionaries. Additional warrant would be helpful.
